CTEF, like many other non-profit organizations, has been challenged during the pandemic to maintain its daily functions so it can be ready for the pent-up demand that has already begun. Funding allows CTEF to reinstate in-house tile training classes and expand the schedule of Certified Tile Installer (CTI) and Advanced Certified Tile Installer (ACT) testing programs.
NTCA has supported both the residential and commercial tile contractor since 1947
through its commitment to growing the tile industry. As a result, it offered a $10,000 matching cash grant to CTEF.
The generosity of twenty-three individual tile professionals resulted in gifts ranging from $10 to $1,000 totaling $5106. These donors realized the dire straits of CTEF’s situation and came to the table with the much-needed funds which will allow CTEF to continue moving forward in the training of those new to the tile industry and certifying installers who set tile every day.
“We were hoping to match the NTCA grant and never imagined being able to triple the original goal of $10,000 for which CTEF is eternally grateful,” said Carothers.
