What is GivingTuesday?

GivingTuesday represents a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage giving and celebrate generosity worldwide. Every year, on GivingTuesday, millions of people across the globe (almost 60 countries) mobilize to show up, give back, and change their communities.

The goal is to create a massive wave of generosity that lasts well beyond that day and touches every person on the planet.

Think generosity going viral.

#GT_logoGivingTuesday represents a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage giving and to celebrate generosity worldwide.

Founded in 2012, GivingTuesday has inspired millions of people to give back and support the causes they believe in. Over $400 million was raised online in 2018 to benefit a tremendously broad range of organizations, and much more was given in volunteer hours, donations of food and clothing, and acts of kindness.

Why GivingTuesday for CTEF?

For CTEF, GivingTuesday is about raising awareness and financial support not just for the ceramic tile and stone industry professional programs it offers, but also appreciation for the strong community of passionately dedicated ceramic tile artisans, installers, suppliers and specifiers committed to elevating the standards and expectations for tile installations and the importance of Qualified Labor.

CTEF - Qualified Labor, Certification, Tile Industry Recognized

Certified Tile Installer Mike Corona says,

You don't become a tile installer or a business owner overnight. It takes time, enthusiasm, pride, reliability, respectfulness, a willingness to learn, and dedication. No two jobs are the same; each one has its own unique nuances. As a qualified installer, you need to be able to communicate how to deal with those nuances and qualify yourself to not only meet but exceed expectations. Being qualified will exponentially increase your value and you will have endless opportunities.
