The Ceramic Tile Education Foundation (CTEF) offers several ceramic tile education and training courses - from basic tile installation for the non-installer to various levels of hands-on training, including custom ceramic tile training courses.
Two Intense, Hands-on Tile Installation Training Courses:
1. Understanding & Installing Ceramic Tile (UICT) – $1095.00
The UICT is a full-week course that offers basic instruction in the TNCA Handbook and ANSI specifications along with live demonstrations and actual hands-on experience for the individual seeking an entry-level installer position with a tile contractor.

2. Comprehensive Shower Class – $795.00
This three-day course focuses on the proper installation of the shower pan, including common mistakes and causes of failure. The class will cover all the MSBW content plus additional shower methods and more hands-on training. Attendees construct their own conventional shower base and curb out of mortar while following industry-accepted methods and requirements.

100-Level Foundations Series
The 100 Level Foundations Series is a one-week program for Apprentices and Finishers. It covers in-depth the components of year one for a ceramic tile tradesperson and includes three components.

The 200 Level Practical Series offers the next step in the tile installation professional’s career and prepares them for the Certified Tile Installer test while focusing on the skills needed to be successful in the field as a full-time installer during years 1-3.

300-Level Dynamic Training Series
The 300 Level Dynamic Training Series is a course for tile professionals to expand their knowledge and skills with mortared walls/floors, new waterproofing technologies, mosaics, and large format tile and prepare themselves for ACT testing.
Each segment is one week long to allow full focus on the topics. The sessions can be combined for a three-week program.

Fundamentals of Thin-bed Knowledge (FTBK) – $99.00
This educational course has been designed to enhance the knowledge of persons who function in the tile industry to assist and support the tile installer including inside and outside sales reps, showroom staff, estimators, project managers, and technical service personnel. Ideal for the non-installer, it is self-paced with online testing of your newly acquired ceramic tile knowledge base.
